Located in Melbourne’s Federation Square, Hero ACMI is an uncomplicated destination where ideas of film, food, art, music and people come together.
Paying homage to Jacques Tati’s modernist film Playtime, Hero ACMI is unique in its energetic and exciting atmosphere, all encompassed in a stunningly designed space.
Designed by Chris Connell Design, this work of restaurant art is the pinnacle of Federation Square’s dining precinct. Functional yet aesthetically immaculate, the design utilises a monochromatic colour palette for coherence while bringing in accent tones like blue and red to further accentuate the space’s artful factor.
Throughout Hero ACMI, Unios luminaires work to illuminate the unique and modern design, highlighting the stainless steel accents with gridded ceilings and perforated wall panelling and terrazzo concrete. Running across the entire ceiling space, the FX 48V Track and Spotlights provide ambience lighting along walkways and dining tables. At the same time, the Eclipse Linear Light gently illuminates the bar display and counter with a subtle spread of light.
