The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation moved to the new location at Prime House in Joondalup in 2019. The project brief called for six floors to be future-ready, ensuring three pillars of the workplace; technology, people and place were considered throughout the design.
The project was benchmarked to achieve a five-star Green Star rating and a 4.5 NABERs – in alignment with the Government’s best practice approach to sustainability.
Mondoluce worked closely with MKDC and ATA Egineers to ensure Unios products complimented the design narrative while maintaining an appropriate lighting level following the relevant Australian standards.
The Diamond G2 Panel Light utilises sustainability in this energy-efficient build, showcasing its versatility and best in class longevity in meeting rooms and collaborative spaces. Equipped with the most advanced LED technology and a new polycarbonate diffuser, the new panel series delivers over 30% improvement in lumen efficacy and 40% improvement in lifetime in Prime House.
Other efficient luminaires in the project included the Kobe Track Light, which was predominantly used for illuminating hallways and the Quantum Downlight, which was utilised in larger areas that required a vivid and high lumen output. In collaboration for Prime House, the flagship Titanium G2 Downlight and Eclipse G2 Strip Light work seamlessly together to create functional and dynamic lighting for the remaining spaces.
The project has been designed to encourage teamwork and to enhance the delivery of high-quality services and project outcomes for the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation. Unios lighting products played an integral role in the fit-out, which features integrated technology and spaces for greater collaboration.
